Moynihan’s is an Irish owned and Irish run pub in Madeira. Tadhg and Sinead Moynihan bought an existing latino bar and opened it as Moynihan's in 2008. Tadgh is from Dunard, Co. Wicklow while Sinead hails from Dublin. Before they met they were both very successful publicans in their own right so its no surprise that once married they became a force in the UK industry and ran a number of top class hotspots, this was prior to their move to Madeira in 2002 where they fell in love with the island and it was only natural that they would bring their talents to the "Pearl of the Atlantic" Madeira. Located in the centre of Funchal, slightly off the beaten track, Moynihan’s Irish Bar in Funchal provides a great spot for a relaxing drink or a home cooked meal. With regular music nights and coverage of all sporting occasions including Rugby, Football, Tennis, Golf, Horse Racing and all other major sporting events we are sure to have something of interest for all the family!
